Looking to beat the heat and get out of the city?

A day in the mountains might be what you are in need of. Sundance ski resort is located about 15 minutes up provo canyon. Sundance is home to several wonderful restaurants ranging from the affordable to the "not so much". Today we decided to keep it on the cheep and get a lunch at the deli and take it outside and eat near the stream. Today we sampled:

• The Hamtastic Sandwich - A great sandwich of organic ham, Swiss, spinach and tomato. Honey mustard and pesto with sliced apple. This was very good. The apple slices gave a great crunch and cool taste and paired nicely with the ham and pesto. Comes in a variety of breads. We asked for asiago but got white instead. Needless to say it disappeared anyway! A full sandwich was big enough to split. $8.00
• Sanpellegrino Limonata - One of my favorites drinks from Italy. If you haven't tried one yet, give it a go. The sour tartness makes it very refreshing. $1.50
• Chocolate Croissant - One of the best pane e cioccolata I have had in a long time. It must have weighed half a pound loaded with dark chocolate inside. Very good. $4.00
